Hi, it’s Cynthia!
I just graduated August '22 from the University of Washington with a Master’s in Human Computer Interaction + Design!
I grew up with a heavily STEM focused education and pursued a degree in Materials Science and Engineering (Matsci) with a minor in biomedical engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, but pivoted to Design + HCI soon after I graduated.
I’ve always felt like there was a missing piece in why I was doing what I was doing in Matsci, but I was able to find that missing piece in design.
I love that design gives me the opportunity to can find creative solutions to problems, enrich people’s lives, and bring meaningful experiences to them. I also love making things for people, so to be able to do that while helping others is especially fulfilling to me.
